More details about the country
Zimbabwe (Republic of Zimbabwe, Southern Rhodesia, Rhodesia, Zimbabwe Rhodesia) is a sovereign landlocked country in South Africa. It shares its borders with the Republic of South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, and Mozambique. The primary city or capital of the country is Harare (Salisbury), founded in 1890. It can be found in the independent state’s northeastern region. Zimbabwe is a popular tourist and research destination due to its diverse wildlife and plants, works of art such as wood carvings and statues, as well as interesting culture including cuisine.
Zimbabwe can be a worthwhile location to obtain an academic degree and attain higher education. First of all, the country has a relatively exhaustive list of accredited and internationally recognized universities, including the Midlands State University, the Chinhoyi University of Technology, the Bindura University of Science Education, the Africa University, and the Catholic University in Zimbabwe. Students can, in a similar manner, select from a broad range of study fields including Agriculture, Arts, Education, Engineering, Law & Jurisprudence, Information Technologies, Health, Management, Communication, and Business. Zimbabwe is furthermore a suitable location to hone practical skills such as foreign-language communication due to the country’s 16 official languages, including English, as well as the diverse list of volunteer and internship programs, especially in fields of Medicine, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Business, Education, Health, and others. However, one should bear in mind that certain actions and gestures might be considered offensive, therefore proper research should be done regarding cultural differences. Similarly, students should consider acquiring an international medical insurance prior to attending university.
