More details about the country
Zambia (Northern Rhodesia, Republic of Zambia) is a sovereign landlocked country located in the south-central region of Africa. It derives its name from the Zambezi River and is situated on a high plateau. It is an independent state with a significant change in population density with most of the 17,381,000 people concentrated in the Line of Rail, the state’s most well-developed area. The Line of Rail is an area served by a railway linking the capital of Lusaka with the Copperbelt as well as with Livingstone, a border town. Zambia shares its borders with the countries of Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Zambia can be considered a suitable location to study abroad. This is due to several reasons including the country’s relatively exhaustive and diverse list of properly accredited and internationally recognized institutions of higher education, such as the University of Zambia, the Copperbelt University, the Mulungushi University, the Nkrumah University, and others. Similarly, students can select a broad range of programs including Business, Finance & Banking, Management, Accounting, Nursing, Education, Economics, Law & Jurisprudence, Marketing, and Information Technologies. Apart from the previously-mentioned advantages, Zambia is a suitable location to hone communication in foreign-languages including English, which is the sovereign state’s official tongue. In addition, the country is a suitable destination to participate in volunteer and internship programs in the fields of Education, Medicine, Environmental Studies, Ecology, Arts, Agriculture, Business, and Dentistry. However, one should bear in mind that tuition fees can vary greatly and a student visa may be necessary in order to enter the country, therefore proper planning and research should be done.
