    More details about the country

Yemen (Al-Jumhūrīyah al-ʿArabīyah al-Yamanīyah, Al-Jumhūrīyah al-Yamanīyah, Al-Yaman, Republic of Yemen) is a sovereign country situated in the southwestern region of Asia, on the Arabian Peninsula. It is an independent state with mostly mountainous and arid terrain, although certain areas do receive sufficient precipitation. The country shares its borders with the sovereign states of Saudi Arabia and Oman and has coastlines on the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, and the Red Sea. The capital of the country is Ṣanʿāʾ (Sana, Sanaa).

Yemen can be a worthwhile location to attain higher education via studying abroad. To begin with, the country has a relatively extensive list of properly accredited and internationally recognized universities, including the University of Aden, the Hadhramout University, the Taiz University, the Sana'a University, and the Queen Arwa University. Students, in a similar manner, can also study a broad range of subjects including popular selections such as Information Technologies, Computer Science, Engineering, Administration, Medicine, Law & Jurisprudence, Accounting, Business, Arts, Technology, and others. In addition to previously-mentioned advantages, tuition fees tend to be relatively less costly compared to other countries such as Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates, although they can vary greatly. Yemen is also a suitable study destination with a relatively broad selection of volunteer and internship programs, with favored choices including Tourism, Education, Business, Agriculture, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Health, Law, and Economy. Yemen is also a suitable location to hone communicating in Arabic. However, one should bear in mind that a certain code of dress may have to be followed when attending certain universities or areas outside of campus.
