More details about the country
Vanuatu (New Hebrides, Ripablik blong Vanuatu, République de Vanuatu or the Republic of Vanuatu) is a sovereign country located in the southwestern region of the Pacific Ocean. It is comprised of 13 main and numerous smaller islands, with the northernmost group being the Torres, followed by the islands of Santa Maria (Gaua), Vanua Lava, Aoba (Ambae), Espiritu Santo, Pentecost, Ambrym, Maéwo, Éfaté, Malakula, Épi, Tanna, Erromango, and Anatom. The country’s capital is Port-Vila (alternatively known as Vila). The city is situated on Éfaté, where the southwestern coast and the Mélé Bay are located, and which is also the seat of the republic's government buildings. Vanuatu can serve as a stepping stone in attaining higher education and obtaining an academic degree.
To begin with, the sovereign state's list of accredited institutions of higher education is quite limited, including the University of the South Pacific and the Vanuatu Maritime College. However, it does compensate by providing in-depth training on a variety of subjects such as Arts, Business, Management, Finance & Banking, Information Technologies, Engineering, Technology, Journalism, Media, Mathematics, Tourism, Hospitality, and Accounting. In addition, tuition fees within the country tend to be less costly compared to other countries such as New Zealand or Australia. Furthermore, the country is a suitable location to learn and practice one or more foreign languages such as English, French, and Bislama as these tongues are the country’s official languages. There are also multiple opportunities to participate in volunteer and internship programs, especially in the fields of Education, Economy, Health, Construction, Tourism, and Environmental Studies.
