Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan, officially known as the Republic of Uzbekistan, is a sovereign state in Central Asia that lies for the most part between the Syr and Amu Darya Rivers. The independent state shares its borders with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan. The capital of the country is Tashkent (Binkent, Chachkent, Dzhadzh, Shashkent, Toshkent). The city is also the largest within the Central Asia region and can be found at an elevation of 1,475 to 1,575 feet in the northeastern area of the state.

Uzbekistan can be considered a suitable location to study abroad and obtain an academic degree. To begin with, the country has a relatively wide selection of internationally recognized and accredited institutions of higher education, such as the Tashkent State Technical University, the Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology, the Urgench State University, and the National University of Uzbekistan. Similarly, a relatively broad range of study subjects can be selected within the sovereign state’s institutions of higher education, including Engineering, Economics, Philology, Management, Education, Physics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Technology, and Information Technologies. In addition, while tuition fees can vary greatly, they tend to be less costly compared to countries such as Singapore, China or the United Arab Emirates. Furthermore, the country is a suitable location to practice and learn foreign languages such as Uzbek and Russian. Uzbekistan is also a location where students can participate in volunteer and internship programs in the fields of Management, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Finance, Education, Tourism, Healthcare, Environmental Studies, and others. However, students should bear in mind that a student visa may be necessary in order to enter the country and study at its institutions of higher education, therefore proper planning and research should be done.
