More details about the country
The United States (America, U.S., U.S.A., United States of America) is a sovereign federal republic on the continent of North America. It consists of 50 states of which 48 can be found occupying the continent’s middle latitudes, in addition to two distant ones, namely the states of Hawaii, and Alaska. The country shares borders with the sovereign states of Canada and Mexico. It also has coastlines on the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, as well as the Gulf of Mexico. The federal republic is one of the world’s largest in terms of total land area countries ranking at 4th position after the countries Russia, Canada, and China. The capital of the sovereign state is Washington.
The country is a suitable location to attain higher education due to several contributing factors. To begin with, the country has quite an exhaustive and diverse list of accredited and internationally recognized universities, including Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, California Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Chicago, Cornell University, Yale University, and the University of Pennsylvania. In a similar manner, the country’s many universities provide a broad range of study subjects such as Business, Biology, Arts, Nursing, Education, Management, Health, Computer Science, Administration, and Accounting. In addition, students can hone one or more practical skills such as foreign-language communication, with English, Spanish, and Chinese being frequently spoken via diverse internship or volunteer programs, especially in the fields of Administration, Arts, Pharmacy, Architecture, Education, Humanities, History, Law & Jurisprudence, Finance & Banking, Biology, Business, Information Technologies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Environmental Studies, Hospitality, International Relations, Journalism, Marketing, and others. Furthermore, there are certain scholarships and other financial aids that can assist in counterbalancing study expenses and costly tuition fees. One should bear in mind, however, that proper planning is essential as entering the federal republic and studying at the institutions of higher education requires obtaining a valid student visa and the procedure can take time.
