    More details about the country

Uganda (Jamhuri ya Uganda or the Republic of Uganda) is a sovereign country found in East-central Africa. It shares borders with the countries of South Sudan, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The capital of the sovereign state, Kampala, can be found not far from the shores of Africa’s largest freshwater lake, Lake Victoria, and is a verdant and highly urbanized and modernized cosmopolitan city. The country is a multiparty republic that has gained its independence in 1962 and should be considered a tourist destination due to its culture and nature.

Uganda can be a worthwhile location to study abroad and attain higher education, including obtaining an academic degree. To begin with, the country does have a relatively limited list of properly accredited institutions of higher education such as the International University of East Africa and the Makerere University, but the country does provide an extensive list of study subjects students can select from, including favored choices such as Business, Management, Information Technologies, Education, Computer Science, Technology, Administration, Law & Jurisprudence, Communication, and Engineering. In addition, the country’s tuition fees, while varying greatly, tend to be less costly compared to other sovereign states such as South Africa. In addition, the independent state is a suitable location to participate in volunteer and internship programs, especially in the fields of Business, Healthcare, Agriculture, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Education and Economy. Furthermore, the country is a suitable location to practice foreign languages such as English and Swahili as these are the sovereign state’s official tongues.
