Seychelles, officially referred to as Repiblik Sesel/République des Seychelles/the Republic of Seychelles, is an independent island republic located in the western region of the Indian Ocean. It is comprised of around 115 islands with the main islands standing around 1,000 miles to the east of Kenya and around 700 miles to the northeast of Madagascar. The capital city of the island country, Victoria, can be found on Mahé Island and is the archipelago’s only port, with around one-third of the population of the island calling the city their place of permanent residence.
Seychelles can serve as a stepping stone in attaining higher education and obtaining an academic degree.
