More details about the country
Senegal, officially known as République du Sénégal or the Republic of Senegal, is a sovereign country in western Africa. The independent state is located at an ecological boundary of convergence between the semiarid grassland, the tropical rainforest and the oceanfront, resulting in the country having a wide variety of wild and plant life. The Republic of Senegal shares its borders with Mauritania, separated by the Sénégal River, Mali Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau, and has a coastline on the Atlantic Ocean. The capital, Dakar, is one of the main ports on the western African coast.
Senegal can be a worthwhile location to study abroad and obtain an academic degree. To begin with, the country has a relatively extensive list of accredited and internationally recognized universities that can provide in-depth training on a relatively broad range of subjects including Management, Computer Science, Economics, Law & Jurisprudence, Finance & Banking, Marketing, Business, Accounting, Engineering, and Philology. In addition, while tuition fees can vary greatly, they tend to be less costly compared to other countries such as Egypt or Qatar. Furthermore, students can participate in internships or volunteer programs pertaining to Law, Business, Healthcare, Education, and others. Similarly, there are relatively moderate chances of finding suitable long-term employment in the country after graduation, particularly in the fields of Agriculture, Tourism, and Healthcare. The Republic of Senegal is also among the countries in the world where the official language is French, thus presenting students with the opportunity to study and practice a foreign language during tuition and everyday communication.
