More details about the country
Rwanda, alternatively known as the Republic of Rwanda/Republika y’u Rwanda/Ruanda, is a sovereign landlocked sub-Saharan country that lies to the south of the Equator within east-central Africa. The capital of the state is a city located on the Ruganwa River known as Kigali. Similar to one of the states with whom the country shares borders, Burundi, the Republic of Rwanda is among the smallest in terms of total land area, yet has one of the highest population densities (12,374,000 are estimated to live in the country as of 2019) in the region of sub-Saharan Africa. Apart from Burundi, Rwanda also shares a border with Uganda, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kinshasa), as well as Lake Kivu.
Despite its location within Africa, Rwanda is a state that can provide students with certain advantages, thus making studying in the country worthwhile. To begin with, Ruanda does have a relatively limited list of accredited institutions of higher education, yet each of the universities in the list compensates by providing a thorough and in-depth training on a rather broad range of subjects such as Information Technologies, Management, Business, Education, Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting, Law & Jurisprudence, and Finance & Banking. Furthermore, the country has three official languages: Rwanda, French, and English. The latter two are used during tuition and everyday communication, therefore allowing students to practice speaking in these widely spoken tongues. Apart from the previously mentioned advantages, Rwanda is a country where tuition fees tend to be less costly compared to other countries such as Qatar. In addition, the country provides opportunities to participate in internships and/or volunteer programs, especially in the fields of Education and Healthcare. There is also a chance of finding suitable long-term employment, particularly in the fields of Education, Science, Technology, Agriculture, and Health.
