Romania

Romania, alternatively known as România, is an independent country in southeastern Europe, located on the Balkan Peninsula. The capital, economic, administrative and cultural center of the country is Bucharest, referred to in Romanian as București. The capital can be found on the banks of the Dâmbovița, a small tributary of the Danube River, where the middle of the Romanian plain is situated. The country shares its borders with the sovereign states of Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Hungary and has a coastline on the Black Sea.

Romania can be considered a worthwhile location to study abroad. This is due to several factors such as the range of available subjects and accredited institutions of higher education, opportunities pertaining to internships and long-term jobs, as well the potential to obtain scholarships in addition to the affordable costs of living.
