More details about the country
Peru, officially known as República del Perú or the Republic of Peru, is a sovereign country found in western South America. The country shares borders with Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, and Ecuador. It also has territorial waters in the Pacific Ocean reaching about 200 miles into the body of water. The capital of the country is Ciudad de Los Reyes or Lima, which is also the state’s commercial and industrial center. The capital can be found on the south bank of the Rímac River, around eight miles from the Pacific Ocean port of Callao.
The Republic of Peru can be a worthwhile location to study abroad. This is due to several contributing factors such as the country’s extensive list of accredited and internationally recognized institutions of higher education, including the featured in the 2020 QS World University Rankings Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. Similarly, the country’s diverse universities provide a broad range of subjects that can be studied, including Engineering, Administration, Accounting, Business, Education, Management, Law & Jurisprudence, Computer Science, Economics, and Information Technologies. Furthermore, the sovereign state’s tuition fees and costs of living tend to be less costly compared to countries such as the United States of America. Also, the Republic of Peru is a suitable location to practice and study Spanish as this tongue is the country’s official language. Peru is furthermore a sovereign state that provides many opportunities to participate in volunteer programs and internships, particularly in the fields of Education, Health, Law, and Ecology.
