    More details about the country

Paraguay, officially known as República del Paraguay, Tetä Paraguáype or the Republic of Paraguay, is a sovereign landlocked country located in south-central South America. The sovereign state shares borders with the countries Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina and is divided into two regions via the Paraguay River which runs from north to south. These regions are known as the Regíon Oriental and the Regíon Occidental. The capital of the Republic of Paraguay is Asunción.

Paraguay can be a suitable location to study abroad and obtain an academic degree. To begin with, the country has a rather extensive list of accredited institutions of higher education, including the Universidad Nacional De Itapúa, the Universidad Nacional De Pilar and the Universidad Autónoma de Asunción. Similarly, the range of subjects which can be studied at Paraguay’s universities is rather broad, with popular selections including Administration, Education, Business, Management, Accounting, Health, Law & Jurisprudence, Engineering, Medicine, and Marketing. Furthermore, the country is a suitable location to study and practice Spanish as this tongue is the sovereign state’s official language including government matters, business and tuition. In addition, the country provides multiple opportunities to participate in volunteer programs, particularly in the fields of Education and Ecology. This can be accomplished by assisting with Community and Youth Development and Wildlife and Nature Conservation. However, one should bear in mind that costs of living can vary greatly, especially in cities such Asunción due to many goods being imported. Similarly, tuition fees can also vary depending on the institution of higher education and location.
