More details about the country
Montenegro, alternatively known as Crna Gora, is a sovereign country found in the west-central part of the Balkan Peninsula. It is situated at the Dinaric Alps’ southern end and shares borders with the countries Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, and Albania. It has shorelines on the Adriatic Sea close to the border with Croatia. It can be considered a country with two capitals as the administrative center of the sovereign state is Podgorica (formerly Titograd) found in southern Montenegro, while the cultural and historically older capital is Cetinje.
Montenegro can be a suitable location to study abroad despite its limited list of available institutions of higher education. To begin with, the sovereign state’s universities offer proper accreditation and work with many countries and organizations including Erasmus, the UK, Australia, and others. In addition, students can study a broad range of subjects including Tourism, Arts, Law & Jurisprudence, Information Technologies, Engineering, Philology, Political Science, Philosophy, Humanities, and Medicine. Furthermore, the country has a relatively high standard of living yet the costs of living tend to be less costly compared to sovereign states such as Monaco, or France. Montenegro is also a suitable location to practice foreign-language skills as the country’s official tongue is Montenegrin, however Croatian, Albanian and Bosnian are also available. Certain study programs may also be available in English. However, students should bear in mind that tuition fees can vary greatly depending on the institution of higher education of choice. In addition, applying for a student visa may be necessary.
