    More details about the country

Mongolia, also known by its alternative name of Mongol Uls and the historical name of Outer Mongolia, is a sovereign landlocked country located in East and Central Asia. It shares borders with the countries Russia and China and has varied geography including the Gobi Desert in the south and mountainous regions in the north and west. The capital of the country is Ulaanbaatar, alternatively spelled as Ulan Bator and formerly known as Urga or Niislel Khureheh. It is the largest city in the sovereign state and can be found on the Tuul River upon plateau at an elevation of 4,430 feet. The river and plateau are located in the north-central part of the country.

Mongolia can be an interesting and worthwhile location to study. It is a country that offers an exhaustive list of accredited institutions of higher education and subjects to study. For instance, the sovereign state includes institutions with a focus on Science and Technology (Mongolian University of Science and Technology), Education (Mongolian State University of Education), Finance & Banking as well as Economics (University of Finance and Economics), Humanities (University of the Humanities) and others. Furthermore, the country is a suitable location to practice foreign languages such as Russian and English as these are among the widely spoken tongues in addition to the official Mongolian. The country also has a relatively high standard of living yet the costs of living and tuition fees tend to be less costly compared to countries such as Russia and the UK.
