    More details about the country

Malawi, officially known as Nyasaland/Republic of Malawi, is a sovereign landlocked country located in southeastern Africa. It is a country the terrain of which consists of spectacular highlands and extensive lakes. The sovereign state itself occupies a narrow strip of land along the East African Rift Valley, with the total land area amounting to 45,747 square miles. Most of this total land area is taken up by Lake Nyasa (otherwise known as Lake Malawi). Most of Malawi’s population can be found in rural locations. Among the few large urban centers are the capital of Lilongwe and the seat of judiciary power, Blantyre. The sovereign state shares its borders with the countries Tanzania, Mozambique, and Zambia to the west.

Malawi can appear rather deceptive at a glance. While the country is located in Africa and has a relatively limited number of universities available, it does compensate by providing several advantages that can be of help to students seeking to attain higher education and obtain an academic degree. To begin with, the country’s institutions of higher education have proper accreditation including from the National Council for Higher Education. In addition, the sovereign state is a suitable location to study a broad range of subjects including fields of study such as Education, Accounting, Mathematics, Culturology, Business, Marketing, Management, Information Technologies, Biology, and others. Apart from the previously-mentioned advantages, Malawi is a suitable location to practice English as this language is the official language of instruction. Malawi is also a suitable country to practice practical skills such as gathering information, research, communication, and others via volunteer programs with popular and frequent fields of study including Education, Health, Business, and Ecology. However, one should bear in mind that tuition fees can vary quite a bit depending on the institution and urban center of choice.
