    More details about the country

Liberia, officially known as the Republic of Liberia, is an independent country in West Africa. It is a country consisting of a variety of terrains including low and sandy coastal plains, rolling hills, a dissected plateau as well as a lush rainforest containing an incredible diversity of flora and fauna. The country is the only country in Africa which was never subjected to colonial rule in any form. It is also the continent’s oldest republic. The Republic of Liberia shares boundaries with Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Côte d’Ivoire or the Ivory Coast. It has a coastline on the Atlantic Ocean and is a multiparty republic with two legislative bodies. The capital, main port and largest city of Liberia is Monrovia, situated on Bushrod Island and Cape Mesurado.

Liberia can serve as a stepping stone in attaining a higher education. Even though the country has a limited number of available institutions of higher education, it does provide an extensive list of available subjects including Administration, Culturology, Education, Arts, Health, Agriculture, Sociology, Business, Management, Computer Science and others. In addition, the sovereign state’s universities provide in-depth training for many subjects in English, which is also the country’s official language. As a result, students will be able to practice their foreign-language skills in addition to gaining insight into African culture. Furthermore, there are plentiful opportunities to participate in internship and volunteer programs in many fields of study, allowing students to gain and hone practical skills such as communication, gathering data, presenting information and others. This can be accomplished through popular and frequent forms of aid such as empowering women, developing communities, providing healthcare service, and others.
