The Faroe Islands can be a worthwhile study-abroad destination due to several reasons. To begin with, the country has a limited number of accredited universities which compensate by providing a comprehensive list of subjects which can be studied. These include Education, History, Social Sciences, Health Sciences, Management, and others. In addition to the wide range of subjects available, each of the universities in the country offers international recognition when obtaining an academic degree as well as in-depth training in the selected field of study. As a result, students will be able to practice their chosen profession without worry that their diploma may not be valid. The country also provides an opportunity to further one’s education courtesy of the various research centers available. There are also many internships and volunteer programs that a student can participate in, such as on the subject of Marketing. In addition, the country offers an opportunity to practice foreign languages including Danish, Faroese as well as English. It is also a country where tuition fees and everyday expenses tend to be less costly.
