More details about the country
Cameroon is a country located in the west-central part of Africa. It is surrounded by the countries Nigeria, Chad, the Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo. Cameroon has a total area of 183,920 square miles which incorporates within itself a wide variety of landscapes and terrains. This includes savannas, mountains, low-lying deserts, rainforests, sunny beaches as well as many inselbergs or mounds of erosion-resistant rock. Its form of government is a unitary multiparty republic with two legislative houses and its capital is Yaoundé.
Cameroon is a highly recommended location when it comes to higher education. It is a sovereign state which provides a vast selection of subjects to choose, ranging from Management, Accounting, Engineering, Finance & Banking, and Business to ones such as Architecture, Medicine, Earth Sciences, Design, and others. In addition to the broad range of available subjects, the country has an extensive list of universities with many of the institutions located in the capital, Yaoundé. Among the universities, popular ones tend to be the Fotso Victor University, the Bamenda University of Science and Technology and the International University of Bamenda. Students will also find that tuition fees tend to be less costly when compared to other countries such as Belgium. At the same time, the programs provided are of high quality and offer in-depth knowledge of the subjects chosen. Cameroon is furthermore a fine location to practice widely spoken languages such as English or French as both of these tongues are used during training as well as for official meetings or everyday life. The country also provides opportunities to participate in internships such as providing medical help.
