    More details about the country

Bahrain is an archipelago consisting of 33 islands located in the Persian Gulf. It is a part of the Middle East region of Asia and lies close to the shore of the Arabian Peninsula. Its territory amounts to a total size of 293 square miles and it has a population of 1,442,659 as of 2018. Of the 33 islands which comprise the country’s territory, Bahrain Island is the largest and also the location where the capital Manama can be found. The sovereign state’s relief consists mostly of a desert with low-lying sandy and rocky plains. In the central and southern reaches, coastal salt marshes are fairly common and there are no significant rivers or lakes. Of the other islands which make up the archipelago, Nabih Saleh is one worth noting as it has freshwater springs and date palm groves scattered throughout the landscape.

Bahrain can provide quite a few opportunities to obtain an academic degree. While the country does not have an extensive list of universities unlike other countries like the USA, it does compensate by offering a wide array of study programs ranging from popular ones such as Business or Management to ones such as Agriculture, Engineering, Education, Logistics and others. It is also a popular destination for students seeking to earn a degree in Medicine, Administration or IT. Apart from the wide range of programs that a student can choose from, the country also provides an opportunity to practice foreign languages such as English or Arabic. Also, it provides an ideal location for those who wish to avoid cold, harsh winters due to health issues or other reasons. One should bear in mind, however, that the tuition fees for the program of choice can vary greatly. Also, certain expenses related to day-to-day life can be a bit on the costly side. Such include food and clothes due to the county needing to import such commodities.
